Mutterings

Helicopters rumbling in the sky and having to hear the sound is not desirable, though, I suppose, one has to live with it.

Ramblings have been on the quiet side, there have been very few things worth pondering over. It may be because there has been little time to explore.

The sad bit of news involves the plight of Common Wealth Games.

May be the links will not be attached this time for a change. Hopefully next time!

QI - Quite Interesting

Some interesting articles on tofu, chocolate and breast milk!

Well that would be a good read for sometime..

July pickings!

There have been several bits of articles that easily passed the very interesting test.

Reading the article on Law and Globalisation makes one think if India is being overly protective. It is hard to say if it is justified or not.

Education is definitely very important. Schooling shapes one's life, attitude etc. and noting proves it better than this article.

A cat story!

Hopefully we all get enough of Vitamin D..

A few days ago there was an advert or an article where people could rent-a-friend. How did civilisation ever come to this stage where friendships had to be rented rather than a natural response of the heart. All adults have to do is see children play. They make friends easily, get upset and make up as easily. Wouldn't the world be a much better place if we all had the sensibilities of a children - no prejudice, thought of bias, ego and lots of inquisitiveness.

Women and the Church!

I have always been a little confused with the idea of feminism. Does it mean women are better than men? There is a problem with that rationale as it is trying to put men at a higher place to begin with and then prove that women are better than men. Hmm if the first rationale is considered incorrect and men are considered 'good for nothing' then does that mean women are better than men at being good for nothing? These thoughts tore through the layers of other mental musings when reading about women and cruelty.

Over a period of time, a realisation has dawned, women and men have their own set of strengths and weaknesses and there really isn't a power struggle between the two unless one wants to make it. As far as I am concerned, I am happy being treated like a lady. If doors are opened, I am waited on, a smile is more than enough well why complain and more importantly it makes the other person happy for being a gentleman. Its a win win!

Catholic Church in the news yet again!

Change - Drastic? May be not!

Ah! it was that time when the template design needed to be changed. So here it is a changed template.

Will it be football or will it be more foodie discussions. Probably neither of the two. In fact this article did catch my attention. More
housework is a good thing!

Does the weekend bring more sunshine? It probably should be a mix of grey sky moments! Do you still believe the
weather reports? I do!

Life after a baby is never the same. Internet searches are never the same either. If it is not babycenter.com or whattoexpect.com then it is netdoctor. Thanks to mother nature's 'mother's instincts' it all falls into place. I say that as the baby leaps from the sofa.

One thing I love about blogger is randomly finding blogs. Off to a walk on the blogosphere!

A perfect omelet. There is something very satisfying about making the simplest dish taste 'delicious' times infinity.

Having recently seen Julie and Julia, I was very inspired to dedicate this blog to one vegetarian dish a day. The plan did not take off. Between cooking baby food, adult food, nursing the baby, catching my breath in between I was really left with little energy to pursue this dream. May be one day, it can start with a week of vegetarian food.

Something to read

One book that has just made to my 'Want to read list' - Couples

Talking of family, relationships, babies and parenting books, this article couldn't get funnier.

I thought it would never happen but babies do come with instruction manuals!

Okay I like this template better than the previous one. A bit brighter and chirpier than the last one. So what's on the blogs menu tonight? Noting much - tried hard to find something which will be worth mentioning, unfortunately nothing yet.

A New Year and new beginnings....

Another year has flown by keeping with it many cherished moments which will be remembered for days and years to come. We are in another year which, undoubtedly will add to the memory collection.

Should the blog change only to have links or should it continue as it was. It has been in my mind to bring a little bit of a change in which the blog works. Some likings have continued, such as, love for food and reading foodie blogs. It was only yesterday or a few days ago, one of the websites had the top 50 food blogs! As luck would have it Bookmarking is always a good option

Talking of blogs one of the blogs and tweets I follow has taken a temporary break. It may not have been easy to guess, mentioning it would be necessary! Its Stephen Fry's blogs and tweets.
