July pickings!

There have been several bits of articles that easily passed the very interesting test.

Reading the article on Law and Globalisation makes one think if India is being overly protective. It is hard to say if it is justified or not.

Education is definitely very important. Schooling shapes one's life, attitude etc. and noting proves it better than this article.

A cat story!

Hopefully we all get enough of Vitamin D..

A few days ago there was an advert or an article where people could rent-a-friend. How did civilisation ever come to this stage where friendships had to be rented rather than a natural response of the heart. All adults have to do is see children play. They make friends easily, get upset and make up as easily. Wouldn't the world be a much better place if we all had the sensibilities of a children - no prejudice, thought of bias, ego and lots of inquisitiveness.

Women and the Church!

I have always been a little confused with the idea of feminism. Does it mean women are better than men? There is a problem with that rationale as it is trying to put men at a higher place to begin with and then prove that women are better than men. Hmm if the first rationale is considered incorrect and men are considered 'good for nothing' then does that mean women are better than men at being good for nothing? These thoughts tore through the layers of other mental musings when reading about women and cruelty.

Over a period of time, a realisation has dawned, women and men have their own set of strengths and weaknesses and there really isn't a power struggle between the two unless one wants to make it. As far as I am concerned, I am happy being treated like a lady. If doors are opened, I am waited on, a smile is more than enough well why complain and more importantly it makes the other person happy for being a gentleman. Its a win win!

Catholic Church in the news yet again!
